What media formats can I send in?
We accept the following media formats: videotapes, film reels, slides, photos, negatives, digital devices and photo albums. Below are the specific formats we accept of each media type:
Videotapes: VHS, S-VHS, Betamax, VHS-C, S-VHS-C, Hi-8, Digital8, Video8, DV, DVCAM, MiniDV, DVC; videotapes can be in NTSC or PAL formats are accepted.
Film Reels: Regular 8 mm, Super 8 mm, and 16 mm.
Slides: 35 mm, Super 35 mm, 35 mm Half Frame, 110, 126, 127, 127 Superslide, and 120/220 Medium
Note: Slides must be in plastic or cardboard mounts.
Photos: Ranges from 2" x 2" to 8" x 12"
Negatives: 35 mm, APS Film, 110/220 Film, 126 Instamatic Film, Large Negatives.
Albums: Albums up to 14” x 14” and can extract photos of any size within the album.
Digital Devices: We accept the following digital storage devices and memory card types:
- USB Drives: Flash drives for file storage.
- Data CDs/DVDs: CDs and DVDs used for file storage (not playable video discs).
- Digital Memory Cards:
- SD (Secure Digital) Cards: Standard size SD cards for file storage.
- SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) Cards: High-capacity SD Cards.
- miniSD Cards: Smaller version of standard SD cards.
- miniSDHC Cards: High-capacity version of miniSD cards.
- microSD Cards: Smallest version of SD cards.
- microSDHC Cards: High-capacity version of microSD cards.
- MultiMediaCard (MMC): An alternative to SD cards for older digital devices.
- MMCplus and MMCmobile: Variants of MultiMediaCards.
- RS-MMC DV: Dual-voltage version of RS-MMC.
- Memory Stick: Sony's proprietary storage format.
- Memory Stick PRO, Duo, Pro Duo, and PRO-HG Duo: Various versions of Sony's Memory Stick cards, supporting higher capacities and faster speeds.
- xD-Picture Card: Used in certain digital cameras.
- xD Type M/M+ and Type H: Variants of the xD-Picture Card
- CompactFlash (CF) Cards: Larger format car used in older digital cameras
